The 8th grade is maybe one of the most challenging periods for secondary school students. You may have come across discussions about the significant final exam waiting for you in June. This event can be extremely stressful because of the huge pressure that’s put on by teachers and parents.
How to choose your high school
Choosing the high school you will spend the next few years isn’t an easy decision. However there are a few important questions to ask yourself before choosing your academic profile:
1. What are the school subjects that I like most?
2. What are the school subjects I don’t like?
3. What do students say about the high school they study at?
4. In which field would I like to work?
How to deal with stress
1. Eat and sleep well
Sleeping 8-9 hours every night and having a balanced diet is very important. You can’t study or concentrate during class when you’re on 3 hours of sleep and with no food in your stomach.
2. Have realistic goals
You won’t be able to get a big score in the exam if you started studying only a week before the exam.
3. Talk with your parents and teachers
Talking to your parents can be really helpful. They'll understand your situation and support you. Also discussing with your teachers can give you a better understanding of their lessons.
